Dua Lipa's Triple-Belt Bustier Top Is a Y2K Throwback

We're all counting down the days to Dua Lipa's next album, Radical Optimism (out May 3!) — and ahead of that momentous day, internet personality and TikTok favorite Harry Daniels managed to get a little pre-release celebration in with the star herself. Known for singing artists' songs to them on TikTok, Daniels performed "Houdini" for Dua, who joined him at the end of his performance, but her outfit most definitely stole the spotlight, even though Daniels did his best to belt Dua's new track.

On Instagram, Daniels shared a glimpse of their meet-up. Lipa wore a strapless, bustier-style top that was actually three oversized belts fastened with shimmering rhinestone buckles. One belt was strapped across her waist, the second was up over her stomach, and the third acted as a bandeau-style top. She paired the unexpected top-accessory hybrid with low-rise, baggy jeans in a dark wash and a pair of pointy, black shoes.

"AHHHHHDNWJDIWKDKEKDKELRLRKRHENDHDN," Daniels captioned the post, which is 100% relatable and would be our exact reaction to being so close to Dua Lipa, too.

Lipa has been out promoting Radical Optimism and its two lead singles, "Houdini" and "Training Day," with appearances at the Brit Awards and this year's Golden Globes, where her song "Dance the Night" was up for an award. The new album follows her smash-hit 2020 release Future Nostalgia, which gave us songs like "Levitating" and "Don't Start Now."

The album won Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021 and the Brit Award for British Album of the Year. It also holds the distinction of being the sixth-most streamed album of all time on Spotify, earning more than 10 billion streams as of March 2023.
