Nampa, IDAHO (CBS2) - Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling says the state of her city is "good."
Mayor Kling delivered her address Wednesday as part of Nampa Chamber of Commerce's October luncheon.
During the address, Mayor Kling said her focus areas are infrastructure, safety, and economic opportunity.
She highlighted traffic timing improvements on Nampa streets and mentioned the new wastewater treatment system is on budget.
Mayor Kling said the city is pursuing another grant for an air terminal at its airport.
When talking about safety, she says drugs and gangs are leading to an increase in violent crime.
The Mayor also talked about the city's Christmas tree getting new lights this year and said a new dog park will also be opening in the future.
